About Apex Warrior

We’ve always been interested in a different style of training – a more natural and fun way to exercise. The fitness industry is growing more and more everyday, leaving everyone thinking, “What should we be doing at the gym?”

At Apex Warrior we create a fun environment for everyone to train in a new way – using functional patterns that complement daily life activities to make life easier outside of the gym.

We love teaching new people to exercise in a safe environment. We help build up the body gradually, tailoring training to the individual to accommodate those new to fitness while also accommodating more high-caliber athletes looking to enhance their skills and abilities.

The Apex team will help you push your physical and mental limits to levels you never thought possible. We will show you that you're capable of anything!​

Freedom Climber

The Freedom Climber is an infinity rock climbing wall! It records your vertical distance plus your time so you can compete with yourself and others. Ask the staff to help you get started on this new, training tool! It will test your coordination, grip strength, and cardio. Plus it's a lot of fun.

Dennis Legault

Dennis has a history in gymnastics and bodyweight training. With a passion for obstacle racing and ninja warrior, he is always striving to challenge himself with new methods of training. Join in on some of his classes to find out more about my training styles.​

Jerrika Rydall

Jerrika Rydall

Jerrika is a personal and group trainer with 5+ years in the fitness industry.

She attended University of Waterloo where she received a BSc Kinesiology degree and worked with varsity athletes as their Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Jerrika previously coached at Training for Warriors Barrie for two years running group fitness classes. She loves spartan races and strength training. She’s excited to be back training close to home!

She holds additional training in Active Aging and Advanced Fitness Assessment.

Chantal Boivin

Chantal Boivin

Chantal's personal fitness journey began over 20 years ago and she has been committed, consistent and passionate about it ever since! Early on, Chantal struggled with body issues, eating disorders and an overall unhealthy approach to health and fitness. Once she was pregnant with her daughter, she vowed to become a healthy and strong female role model for her.

Chantal was approached 14 years ago about becoming a group fitness instructor and she jumped at the opportunity. Since then she has gotten certifications including FIS (Fitness Instructor Specialist), 6 x Les Mills, 3 x Yogafit, Stott Pilates Reformer, multiple Zumba, and she recently completed her PTS (Personal Training Specialist) and her CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.

Chantal is an avid runner (trail and road), does obstacle course races, lifts, spins, dances, does CrossFit, and yoga – a little bit of everything! She loves continually learning, and sharing her knowledge and passion with others. Chantal feels blessed that she can help, inspire, and role model health and fitness/strength to not only my daughter, but so many others!

Marty Scheer

Marty Scheer

A Health Coach by trade, Marty comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and an even greater passion for fitness and nutrition.

After receiving his HBSc of Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 2014, Marty came back to his roots in Sudbury where he discovered his affinity for athletic performance, coaching various high school sports teams before deciding to make his passion into a career.

Certified as a personal trainer and nutrition coach, Marty practices what he preaches, working with groups and individuals to achieve optimal health.
